I’ve been going back and forth with the idea of buying either a 2231 or a 2254 and I got some great feedback from many of you here. As I was reading various posts about these watches I found some people who made modifications to their watches. Such as adding a white gold bezel, changing a dial etc. So I called some authorized repair shops and some shops that work on Omegas just to ask them if a black 2254 bezel will fit on a 2231. Nobody would tell me yes or no. Some said they had to have the watch and the bezel before they could tell me if it would work. I understand that some will not do this because it’s modifying the original watch, I get that. But aren’t the watch dimensions something that is known or can be looked up somewhere. All I want is a yes or no answer. Is this secret inside info?
